What are the benefits of Copy Testing?

● Understand your ICP’s perception of your business based on your copy; What do they think you offer? What is their understanding of your value proposition?

● Understand what your ICP care about; and what they don’t. What motivates them to take action?

● Get access to an extensive B2B panel, allowing you to gather feedback from the right people, no matter how niche.

● Gather insights that can be used to optimize your whole funnel; from marketing emails, paid ad copy and on-site improvements.

● Get the most out of your copy testing efforts by utilizing Speero’s expertise in the analysis and interpretation of insights.

● At the end of the project, you will get a clear overview of the main copy and messaging issues; and a set of recommendations for improvement.

Who is copy testing for?

Copy Testing is aimed at B2B businesses looking to better understand their ICPs and if their copy resonates. Ultimately, copy testing helps to improve conversion rates and user experience by providing recommendations to support optimization.

If you’re interested in digging deeper into your ICP's motivations, fears, uncertainties, and doubts, then check out our ICP-focused research service.

We can run copy testing on any digital experience, from a live website to prototypes and designs, all we need is a screenshot of the page.

How it works

1

Planning

We assign a team of UX specialists, an analyst, and a project manager to your project and start by learning about your business, challenges, and goals via an intake survey to make sure we’re aligned. We’ll also do a review of your analytics to help us determine which pages and journeys to focus on.
2

Brief Creation

After learning about your business and your website, your strategist will create a research brief. This document will outline the target audience, screener, and questions that will form the basis of the copy testing.

We’ll work closely with you to ensure we’re covering your core segments and pages.
3

Set up & Launch

Once the brief is agreed, we’ll set everything up in Wynter, and launch the sessions. We expect sessions to complete within 3 working days, depending on the specifics of the target audience.
4

Analysis

Speero’s team of Analysts will review all of the feedback, and identify the key themes.
5

Findings Presentation

The team will present the insights and recommendations report via Zoom. We’ll include time to discuss any of the insights in more depth. You will receive the written report and the raw feedback.

“Having spent the last decade developing a brand and product line, we found we were unable to disengage emotionally and to truly understand our market and our customer’s mindset.
Speero’s process has removed the emotional and sophistication bias we have with our market, and allowed the data and testing to paint the real picture, presenting our audience with what THEY need, rather than what WE need, to ultimately accomplish our goals.
The results of this project have improved top, and bottom-line numbers, and increased customer satisfaction – a huge element in building brand equity in our market.”

Copy Testing FAQs

How long does Copy Testing take?

Copy testing usually takes 3 weeks to complete, including all the steps explained above (depending on the number of pages included).

How many participants do you recommend?

Wynter recommends 15 participants per page, per segment.

How many pages are included?

We can run copy testing on as many pages as you need feedback on, however, we would recommend starting with 3-5 key pages, e.g. your homepage, high traffic landing pages.

Why can’t I just run copy-testing via Wynter myself?

The short answer is yes. However, in our experience, businesses get more out of Wynter when they have support in effectively setting up the tests and analyzing the feedback.

What are the deliverables from copy testing?

As well as access to the raw feedback; we’ll also pull everything into an insights and recommendations report which we’ll present to you via Zoom.

What should I do with the findings from copy testing?

The recommendations from copy testing will be categorized to help you create an actionable roadmap of activity for the optimization of your digital experience.

These categories include “JDI” or Just Do It, e.g. things that need fixing, A/B tests and "investigative" which are recommendations where more research or exploration is needed. These categories will be personalized to your situation; if we know you don’t have the traffic to AB test, then we won’t suggest tests as recommendations.

Let’s kick things off.
